This novella is about an average "perfect" family, or at least that is what they want everyone to think. The husband treats his wife like a doll and constantly belittles her while she keeps a plethora of secrets from him but some of them are for his own good. This novella shows how trying to keep up appearances can lead to the end of something that could have been good. In the end the wife left him because she had to go find who she really was inside.

A raisin in the sun
In the critically acclaimed book A Raisin in the sun, a poor black family struggles to make they're way to the top.The father has a full family to feed and take care of and a daughter in college. The father of the family tries to invest in so many things until one day the business partner he trusted ran off with all the money they planned to put into they're business. This novel is yet another classic and keeps the reader interested because of how real the story feels as they read it. Some readers feel as if they were in that family shoes and could feel the stress and difficulties they faced.
To kill a Mockingbird
This novel is about two young kids who realize life is not always fair and that the world can be a very prejudice place. They're uncle Atticus Finch is a lawyer and must defend a black man who is accused of raping a girl even though he has done nothing to her. The black man is shot before the trial could finish and the case is over. The two children also try to get the neighborhood ghost to lave his house. He finally comes out to save them after they are attacked by Mr. Ewell who was the man who blamed Tom (the black man who was on trial) for raping his daughter. This novel is a classic and catches the readers attention from the beginning to the end. It keeps the reader at the edge of there seat through every page.
Catcher in the Rye
In the Catcher and the Rye, the young man Holden Caufield experiences many hardships at his all boys school. He leaves the school and runs off to the big city where things get cold without her. He retells the story from a mental hospital that he is in because of everything he has went through. compels the reader to think about if this could ever happen to them or has happened to anyone they know. The hardships that Holden encountered could happen to anyone in real life.
Of Mice and Men
In this novella, George, an intelligent young man and Lenny, a very large and strong young man try to make they're dreams come true. They want to own there own land and have a farm and Lenny wants to tend to rabbits. They come so close to they're goals until they must leave town because Lenny kills a beautiful lady by breaking her neck. George kills Lenny before anyone else could because that was his best friend. This novella shows the reader how anyone can accomplish there dreams if they try. George and Lenny went from having nothing to almost owning they're own farm.

As You Like It
This Shakespearean play is about an a-typical character who leaves the city life and goes to the forest. She dresses as a man and tried to see if the man she loves is worth her love. At the end everyone gets married because of her. This novel is decent. This play shows the reader how you can make a change no matter who you are.
Night
This Book took place during the time of the Holocaust. Elie Wiesel and his family were taken to a concentration camp. They were set to do horrible task but Elie Wiesel was the only one who survived out of his family. This was a breath taking novel where you could feel the pain and hardships of Elie Wiesel. It grabbed the readers attention with the gruesome and graphic content which was portrayed through Elie's words.
Julius Ceaser
Another Shakespearean play where the character Julius Ceaser is killed by his best friend. He dies early in the play but the rest of the play shows his friends avenging him. This classic play shows readers how people can be tricked and lied to so easily and by the time they see what is truly going on it is all over. This book grabs the readers attention and can shape the reader by allowing them to think more about the people around them and if they can truly trust them.
Othello
In Othello, the black general Othello is betrayed by his best friend Iago. Iago betrays Othello because Othello gives away the position he wanted. This novel is a classic and is one of Shakespeare's best work. The author apprises his readers of betrayal and how a best friend can contrive a plan to kill his closest friend over a simple job.
Animal Farm
Animal Farm is about a bunch of animals who are run by farmers. There is a good set of animals and an evil set of animals. The evil pig and his followers take over in the end and treat the animals the same way the humans did. They even learned how to walk like the humans. This novel is entertaining and shows a lot of irony. It grabs the readers attention by showing how someone can start a revolution to stop one thing but in the end turn into the same thing they tried to stop.
